What is labiaplasty?

One of the most common and uncomfortable vaginal aesthetic problems for women is the size, sagging and colour changes of the outer and inner labia of the vagina. The labia minor (inner lips) is reduced and corrected during vaginal aesthetic (plastic) surgery is a labiaplasty.

For some women, the labia minor (inner lips) are long and large, so they protrude from the outer lips, which does not pose a significant health concern. Still, it can cause discomfort by disrupting the aesthetic cosmetic appearance. This condition, which may be present genetically at birth, can occur after childbirth or as a result of excessive weight gain and loss, affecting a woman's sex life.

Inner lip aesthetic surgery can also be performed together with vaginal tightening surgery.

Labiaplasty Surgery Process

In this operation, if necessary, the inner lips are reduced so they are not visible between the outer lips. The surgery takes an average of 1 hour. Self-dissolving (absorbable) sutures are used in the operation. After the surgery, no bandage is applied, the surgical area is left open, and this area is cleaned with antibiotic pomades.

After the aesthetic operation

The patient can return to his everyday life on the next day. Sexual activity will be possible after four weeks.

This operation does not harm the hymen. It does not cause any damage or impediment to sexual intercourse, pleasure, orgasm, conception and childbirth. After the procedure there is no concern in urinating or going to the toilet.
