Nose surgery - Rhinoplasty in Turkey

Aesthetic nose surgery in Turkey is one of today's most commonly performed surgeries.

Rhinoplasty is performed not only to reduce or increase the size of the nose but also to reshape the tip of the nose, remove the hump at the top of the nose, and correct the relationship and angulation between the upper lip and nose, and the angle between the nose and forehead. In some cases, it may be necessary to add tissue and cartilage to improve the appearance of the patient's nose. Any or all of these changes are made in a single operation. Commonly performed two types of nose aesthetic surgery techniques in our clinic in Istanbul are:

   Open rhinoplasty

Open rhinoplasty is preferred mainly in cases with a curvature of the nasal cartilage tissue, deformities, advanced bone displacement, the presence of arches and revision operations. Functional problems in the nose are also eliminated with this method. Open rhinoplasty can clearly identify the structural problems of the nose and perform the revision most healthily. In this method, the nose is opened through a small incision on the bridge of the nose, and the operation is performed via it.

 

   Closed Rhinoplasty

No incision is made in the closed rhinoplasty method, which is applied through the nostrils. Closed rhinoplasty has a shorter healing process than open rhinoplasty. There is hardly any damage to the skin and soft tissue. Although our surgeons frequently prefer the closed rhinoplasty technique, the final method is determined in agreement with the patient after a comprehensive medical examination.
